Kleinschmidt provides railcar location messages, fleet tracking, tracing and estimated time of arrival. The company allows shippers to manage equipment more efficiently, reduce costs and provide improved customer service. Rail-ETA is a real-time Web-enabled solution for companies that ship or receive freight via North American Railroads. This service provides rail shippers, consignees, drayman and other interested parties the ability to view rail shipment information including estimated time of arrival at destination or interchange to a short line. Historical train information for each pair of sighting and destination points are stored in four distinct folders including loaded rail cars, empty rail cars, loaded intermodal equipment, and empty intermodal equipment. Each folder is limited to 20 samples that include one sample from each of the latest 20 trains. Users can search based on a sighting code, multiple sighting codes, or macros. The Sight Code link describes how to use this field and explains the meaning of all sighting codes.
