Lousy Attorneys

I too, am going through a disabillity case with this firm. These people sign you up, and then forget about you. I had to call them to tell them that I had a hearing date. I had to call them to tell them that my hearing was moved to another office. Every time I called them, they didn't know anything about the case....they will put you on hold to call Houston to find out about the case each time. DO NOT USE THESE ATTYS IF YOU ARE IN DALLAS! THEY WILL NOT TOUCH BASE WITH YOU---THEY JUST WANT TO COLLECT A PERCENTAGE IF YOU WIN YOUR CASE...THATS ALL!

I had to insist to meet Mr. Arnic to file my appeal. (I had other attorneys based out of CA before my case was denied. They took too long to file an appeal, so I decided to go with a local attorney).

Garnic and Arnic said they were local, but they are not. They are in HOUSTON and they keep all their attention in Houston. Mr. Arnic flew up to Dallas to meet with me in an office off of 1-75. The office had no receptionist, and was clean as a whistle, as if no one worked there. Very nicely furnished, but no one was in that office for a while.

After speaking with him, he assured me that he would keep in touch and was very professional and knowledgeabel. During that meeting he filed an appeal for me via computer, as we spoke.

After that meeting---I never saw that man again. Never heard from him again. I called the number, complained that staff or Mr. Arnic has not contacted me, and guess what? Never heard from the staff again.

My hearing is coming up, and I am seriously thinking about going to that hearing without counsel. I am going to ask the Judge prior to the hearing to fire my attorney, because he has done absolutely nothing. I will admit that he filed an appeal for me--but that was it. They didn't even know when the hearing was! I had to call and tell THEM. Their names were not even on the appeal letter from Social Security. Unbelievable.

Is there anyway that you can just pay for the one day that they filed the appeal and deny them payment for the rest? If so someone tell me how to do it!

Previous Client

I have used Garner and Arnic and from the get go, NEVER met the attorney, Roderick J. Arnic. I scheduled an appointment to come in, this was done out of the Houston office, and was assigned a case manager. My case manager never called me or kept in touch with me. Several months went by and I continuously called to speak to Mr. Arnic, not once did I speak to him. I then found out my case was given to another case manager. The new case manager was informative and gave me lots of information as well as referred me to some low cost clinics in the area and walked me through the disability process. I recently found out she left that firm. I am now being assigned another case manager in which this person does not know anything about social security. I have requested a withdrawal letter on Monday of this week, and I am still waiting on a response from the so called office manager and the Attorney. Every time I have called to speak to either my case manager or the attorney I get the run around. The attorney never calls you back and he is never in the office to ask questions, I cant even get solid answers from my case manager, the one who doesn't even know social security disability. She is not helpful and I wish I knew what happened to the young girl who was working my case, she knew more than any one there. I have already looked into seeking a new attorney for my claim and I would never recommend this firm to anyone.
