Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center, with more than 60 years of experience, provides mental health and substance abuse services in Los Angeles County, Calif. It operates more than nine sites that serve nearly 38,000 clients a year. The center offers a wide range of services through its five divisions that include emergency services, adult services, family services, substance abuse services and training. It has caregivers support groups for senior citizens with Alzheimer s disease or some other forms of dementia. It operates Jump Street and Excelsior House that are crisis residential treatment centers, providing a 28-day program for adults who are experiencing serious problems due to mental illnesses. The center also provides suicide prevention outreach and education, short-term crisis counseling and crisis intervention, assistance to abducted children and their families and community prevention programs. It is headquartered in Culver City, Calif.
