For the record... I have a membership at open range....they provide a professional environment and are very welcoming as well as knowledge.... Safety is always first as it should be....the range personal are very attentive and respond quickly to the needs of the customers...if you need help just ask and you will be helped...if you have a problem they will help you...rentals are pain free and a lot of fun.....ventilation is excellent on the rifle range and very good on the pistol range.

It gets one star because I have to select one star. I understand why the other reviews are positive for this location as it was a clean and well kept... that or they are employees or owners with an agenda. I came to play at the indoor paintball for the day and when I got there only three other players were present. They were only going to be there for an hour and the staff would only allow me to play at all if I paid for 2 hours! I stated the obvious with the issue and was told 'that's our policy.' In short the customer service sucks and they are completely unwilling to use common sense. There are much better fields in the area; go there and avoid this place; very poor customer service!!!

Even if you reload shooting is not a cheap sport so why not pay the extra money to shoot at an amazing range? Barry, I love what you all have brought to the area and I will continue to support your range.

Im a Federal Law enforcement officer/ Firearms Instructor and yes Ive visited every range in this area. This range is far advanced for this area and every chance I get I choose this range. Yes a little but more expensive but does your health mean anything. For your information all ranges in this area have been closed up for lead contamination or for inadequate air qualities. So spend the extra three bucks and have a safe shooting experance.

Openrange is simply the best indoor range in Kentucky. Period. We have the best air handling system for your health, the best target system available, the best booths, the best lighting, the ONLY 100 yard range in perhaps 20 surrounding states, and a great staff. Our targets will make you a better shooter. You can set them to run programs where they run, hide and reveal, timed shooting where they reveal and hide at a given distance. Our targets have their own lighting system that runs with the target. We also have a great helpful staff that enforces safety for all. Come see us and you'll agree there isn't a better range in Kentucky and its one of the 5 best ranges in America.

Way overpriced on everything. You can go every other range around here for half the price, litteraly. Their guns and their ammo are also way above the normal price. While the indoor range has nice equipment installed, the roof is too low to shoot at 100 yards. I was shooting a target at 20 yards and I aimed for the face, by the time the bullit got all the way down range it took out a light bulb (that they charged me $15 for). Now I am short and I'm not the best shot, but that is still a flaw in the range design. I will never go there again.
