Ya Mon Jamaican Cuisine

I have been a customer of Ya Mon since they open in 2006. Ya Mon food is always fresh and delicious. I have never had any problems in placing orders or getting the food that I requested. The owners are two of the nicest and warmest people that I have ever met.



I've read the reveiw wrote by the so called GOD's STAR. I feel that the reveiw was so unfair not only to the owners but to us as the customers of Ya Mon that know the service provide by them. GOD's STAR is a LIAR and HATER to the 1st degree. Ya Mon has always sold side orders of Rice & Beans, Cabbage, Plantain, and Catfish since I've been a customer. They can be very busy any given day of the week. During their busy days there could be a chance that they may run out of White Meat because it sells so fast or even unable to do large sides only, because of the many orders that have been placed. But that usually means at that time they have mix/dark meat and they have to use the sides for dinners. I use to own a restaurant myself and if you know the process of cooking Jerk Chicken it takes over an hour to cook and it's not like frying chicken. And because there is no white meat, that doesn't mean there's no Brown Stew Chicken (as stated by the ignores of the so called GOD's STAR), it only comes mix, because of the way its prepared.



The so called, GOO's STAR also stated that when they walked into the place there were about nine orders in the window (like they counting each one!) and the cashier/owner was in know hurry to give the many people waiting their food. Ya Mon takes phone in orders, common sense would tell you that perhaps the orders sitting in the window are awaiting pick-up from call-ins. I've been in Ya Mon on several times during their busy days and the owners and workers work extremely fast and hard to get the orders in & out in a timely matter. You don't have to wait long for your orders and you are told when you place your order about how long the wait would be and people don't mine. If in fact, the cashier/owner asked her husband about doing a side order,(as GOD's STAR stated) I'm sure it would have been, if they were able to do a side order, do to the many orders that they had in place at the time. NOT BECAUSE THEY DON'T DO SIDE ORDERS AT ALL! STUIPID!



I just find it so amazing that it so easy for a person to asume and try to break down a good buisness after a first time 1 minute visit without knowing facts or in this case, the menu. Ya Mon is better off without the likes of GOD's STAR and their kind.

I love to eat here. The food is always fresh and tasty. The jerk fish is a little salty so I usually tell them to go easy on the seasonings. Overrall, great restaurant!

The food here is phenonmenal! I ordered ahead of time and the food was ready when I arrived.My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. We had the jerk chicken, beans and rice, cabbage, plantains, and a fabulous slice of bread.The portions are more than ample.Don't miss out on this great
