If you're smart and appreciate good, friendly customer service as well as good food, skip this place. The food is questionable (Chicken is rubbery and doesn't break if you bend it or try to rip it - gross), but the service is absolutely horrible. My friends and I used to go here all through high school because it was a close walk and a cheap meal. This restaurant is owned by a single family who run it, and despite all of the service that we had given them (which they were well aware of), they were always so rude to us.
They make no effort to learn english and when you ask for clarification on what they had said, they will angrily repeat it. Beyond the serious attitude of the waiters, when my Asian friend would join us, she would s not only much better service but noticeably better serving sizes when we sat in house. We used to joke about how obvious it was that the people working there always liked her but HATED us even though we gave them service and were very respectful and good tippers. Clearly, these people do not like anyone who is not Asian.
On another note, they do not serve water, but if you ask for it, they will bring you a small glass of tap water and charge $1.00 to your tab for it. After learning this, we would skip asking for water and when we brought in our own cans of soda, we got kicked out (that was the last straw for us). Although this was back a few years ago, It was just confirmed from my neighbor that they still do this today. That should be illegal.
Despite my bad history with this place from my high school years (about 4 years ago), I was craving a cheap Chinese lunch so I chose to get take-out there hoping things have changed. Not to my surprise, it was the same management with the same awful woman who works behind the counter. Again, she was extremely rude and when I kindly questioned the price on my luncheon she whipped a menu hard on the table and pointed angrily with her finger nearly shouting "$7.45!" Some things just don't change.
Trust me, I have eaten here over a dozen times and have never had a good experience. It wasn't until now in which I'm older that I learned it is important (and of course more pleasurable) to give business to the right people who will appreciate it and treat you well. There are plenty of other great Chinese/Asian restaurants in the area that have great service and better food such as Yangtzee, Hunan Gourmet, Asiana Cafe, and my personal favorite, Kira Sushi.
