We Had A Great Experience With The Guy's Today An Mostly Again Thank You Again For Everything That You Guys Done For Us Today
Great experience. Chris T was my salesman and treated me with absolute respect and didn't hide any information from me when I was getting a new car. Honest and forth coming with details of my selection.
I've purchased multiple vehicles from Hatfield used cars and referred friends and family. All employees were professional and friendly throughout. The staff went out of the way to find the specific vehicle my wife was looking for. I highly recommend anyone looking to buy a car to stop in.
This is by far the worst experience we have ever had with car shopping. We had John Tarantelli as our sales consultant. After pulling up the credit he says its a great score, but there's just not a lot built up yet. Then he asked how much of a down payment we were willing to put down. Mind you we came to look at a Pontiac g6 listed for 4,500. We said as of today, we have 700. Other than that, we will have a larger down payment in a couple days ( payday). After John left the room a few times to talk to other salesmen, he finally comes back and says we can't get financed based on our credit. Then stutters and asks if we can put 1000 down. We told him again not today because we only have 700, but Friday we both get paid. Then we will basically cover most of the car payment. He laughed under his breath. So I asked if we could test drive it to see if its the car we want and he said no. He denied us even to test drive there 2008 Pontiac for 4,500. Being serious buyers, we immediately googled another Pontiac g6 and found one at Columbus Auto Source on Frank Road 1390. I called and spoke with Matthew Paley who then had the Pontiac started and already warmed up for us when we got there. Within 2 minutes of arriving we were off test driving what turned out to be our dream car. Matt assisted us through the whole process and for the first time it felt like a car dealer was actually on our side. This Pontiac was listed for even more than the one at Bill Leggett Automotive at 6975. I hope that everyone gets the chance to walk away feeling like they won a prize when car shopping. I recommend Columbus Auto Source to anyone looking for great service and dependable cars. I will never waste my time at Bill Leggett Automotive again. If I wanted to be laughed at I would have been a comedian. Not trying to purchase one of your cars. No wonder they stay on the lot for so long.
First thing everyone should know is that this is a pass through dealership, they buy cars from auction or a wholesaler and just stick them on the lot, and they don't fix them when they buy them. Which is too be expected. The salesman and owner are hard on numbers, some are better deals than others you just have to know the actual market and not just go off of KBB. That being said i did purchase a Range Rover from them. First off I'm an experienced mechanic and knew what it needed right away and was able to talk to the owner to lower the price by two grand. However, that being said, they do not know much about the cars they are selling the condition, the history, etc. My recommendation, get a carfax, ask to have it inspected by an independent mechanic not recommended by the dealer. They have a generic OBDII port reader, and they don't know what the codes mean. I had to explain to another customer that the salesman was wrong and the car they were looking at didn't just need an 02 sensor, but the timing belt two because the engine had already skipped teeth and fallen out of time, which I actually repaired for that customer. Oh and by the way the "salesman" does not move on numbers. Talk to the owner. Just go there doing your full research about the vehicle, part prices, worst case scenarios, maintenance, etc. Check for recalls on the vin, carfax, call the manufacture dealership to see if they have any records for that car in their nationwide system, and ask for the codes if there is a check engine light and call the dealership to see potential issues/repair costs.BIG RED FLAG: UPDATE:I paid cash for the entire amount for the vehicle, taxes, titles and fees included. And have not received the title in the OH legally mandated time of 30 days. Currently reporting to the attorney general as this is considered auto fraud by the state and reporting to BBB.
Ron was absolutely amazing & very helpful! We came in for one car but left with 2.. almost 3! Definitely proud to say I get all my cars from Hatfield Used Car Center! Thank you guys again!
Gary did a very good job. We really had a nice time meeting with him. He answered all of our questions. We really liked him. We would work with him again. He did an excellent job.
Always treated with respect and as if I'm the only customer. They all take good care of me and really consider all my wants, needs and concerns when purchasing a vehicle. Will never buy a car anywhere else!
