General Info: Stokes-Beard Elementary Magnet School serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade four. It organizes a range of extracurricular activities that include instrumental and choral music programs, field trips and outdoor camps. The school s health department informs students about various issues, such as contagious diseases, special health problems, medications, and child abuse and neglect. The department additionally conducts hearing and vision tests. The elementary school operates a library that has a collection of books, magazines and newspapers. Stokes-Beard Elementary Magnet School offers lessons in several subjects, including vocabulary, arithmetic, science, social studies and health education. The school is located in Columbus, Miss.
