Behavioral Healthcare Center at Columbia

This place is horrible.....Send your family here at your own risk. My mother was here and fell and died one week later. There was people sitting in the big room with bruises all over them....Totally unexplainable by everyone....Other family there told me they fell. There were other people drooling and staggering all over the place with not enough staff to watch them. They were totally ignored by the staff while I was there. It looked like a horror movie.......Please dont send your family member here...........You will regret it.......They hide things from you and cover it up........This was ignored by the administrator.

I thank Dr. Harold Polin and the staff at Behavioral Healthcare in Columbia, TN, who provided care for my aunt recently. My dear Auntie suffers from dementia and had become so aggitated and uncooperative with the family members helping with her care that we feared we could no longer take care of her at home. That has always been important to our family, to provide loving care in our homes for our older family members. After just a few weeks in the Behavioural Facility, and with some adjustments to her meds, Auntie not only regained her prior pleasant personality, but once again became an active and loving member of our family. Dr. Poling was always so polite and attentive, and the staff were patient and respectful to our aunt while in their care. It also gives

us peace in knowing there is a reputable place nearby that can help us in the future, if further care is needed.

I work for a home care agency in middle Tennessee. We had a client with dementia, who was extremely combative. Our caregiver who would go into her home would not stay on the case very long because she was so extremely difficult. The client was admitted into the Behavioral Healthcare Center and evaluated and treated for 2 weeks. She is now doing excellent and our caregivers are able to care for her without any problems .
