Central Pantry

This place is great! The people who run it are friendly and always there to help a person out. Now I have had a couple of the volunteers not be as friendly, like once when I asked for help out to my car, I was told that they had no one to help me - in a snappy voice. This was NOT from one of the people who are always there!!! Another time, I asked how many of the sweets I was allow, and the volunteer there was like, as many as you will use TODAY! Like I was not shopping for another family, 4 people, who had kids.... They want sweets for more then 1/2 a day, because it was afternoon when I was there.... These remarks were NOT made by our people in uniform, they too are always helpful and nice! NORMALLY, the regular people there, are super sweet and helpful! Once I even saw a couple of them walking a disabled person with his cart, either to the bus stop of home. I am not sure which. They are great people. You do your own shopping, so you take what you need and will use. Which when I am shopping for my kids families is a lot...so I get very full carts. You just do not take the things you will not use. I am always picking up fresh fruit, a couple of my Granddaughters just love smoothies with fruits and avocados. Give this place a tryI KNOW for a FACT you will love this place. They also have a sharing room, where you can just come in and get bread, fresh fruits and veggies, and other stuff they have out, any time you need it. They also have a book shelf with books you can take home with you. You may bring them back when you have finished, or just past the book on. And just so you know in 2022 they will be moving down onto Business Loop by Aldi's in that big Moser's building!!! This will be great for all of our homeless, much easier to get too!!! I am so happy for them!
