Upon the recommendation of a friend, I started using Debrah Germeroth (or Dr. Debbie). Everything was ok, for routine shots and checkups, until she took an x-ray of my dogs chest and told me she was in congestive heart failure, and that I should immediately take her to a heart specialist in Denver.

Even though, my dog looked absolutely fine and was not showing any symptoms I did what Deborah Germeroth said. As it turned out, I spent $500 for a consult with the heart specialist to find the x-ray was taken from the wrong angle which made it appear to be enlarged, when it fact it was absolutely normal. When I went told Deborah Germeroth about her error, she was unapologetic.

I took my blind diabetic dog into High Country Veterinary during May 2017. Dr. Debrah Germeroth performed tumor removal surgery and during a follow up appt Dr. Germeroth pulled dirty scissors out of her pocket and stuck it into the wound to spread it apart. I seen red flags and should have paid attention to them such as office is located in a very dirty pit area and they keep their windows open to allow the dirt to come into office. My dog had an infection that started the day after surgery. No antibiotics were given on the day of surgery and her insulin level was too low for proper healing.

The lymph node was also swollen and not removed by Dr. Germeroth because she said it was fat. My dog had a continuous bad infections with almost daily trips to the vet for dead tissue removed for almost a month until I took my dog to a different vet. The last was straw was when Dr Germeroth didn't care about the staples not holding the tissue together so dirt and hair would get into wound. The new vet adjusted the insulin level and fixed Dr Germeroths open mess that she made and my dog healed perfectly. The surgery end up costing double the price because of the infections and seeing a different vet.

My dog still had a lump in the same area after the surgery and Dr. Germeroth said it would go away. Well the lump turn into another large cancer tumor and lymph node was still swollen with cancer. I had the tumors removed in Oct 2017 and my dog healed perfectly with zero problems. It's clear that Dr Germeroth might save you money in the short run but in the long run I paid a total 2,400. Dollars for 800 dollars surgery. My dog is very tough and survived Dr. Germeroth dirty work. We all suffered greatly and I have written evidence from new vet to defend us.

Perfect veterinary clinic in my opinion! I love my animals, but have grown so weary of the high exam fees, battery of shots and tests recommended and exorbitant costs. I found this place based on good reviews online and they weren't wrong. From my original call, to checking me in and out, the desk staff was so friendly, efficient and helpful. Dr. Deb herself was so personable and nice and knew exactly what to do for my Chelsea's ingrown claw. The cost was very minimal, not the usual fleecing I have had to endure from other vets. Even though they are several miles south of my area, and in a very unassuming basic setting, (which I am certain is passed on in the reasonable fees), I will henceforth visit this clinic for all my pet needs. Wish I could give more than five stars! I thank Dr. Deb and her whole staff!

My two dogs both developed an itch on their bellies and 3 local vets all said the same thing, they have an allergy. I knew this was wrong, both had the problem. I knew their would be a special vet. with the experience to properly diagnose. A friend recommended Deborah Germeroth at High Country Veterinary and with her experience, she figured it out. She had been a vet in Alaska and saw the problem on sled dogs who laid in hay. We recently had spread hay in the back yard and the dogs got a parasite from it.

Deb is one of the very best vets in the area, she is my first choice.
