12/19/14 signed up to direct TV through this company. The representative stated that he worked for direct TV. We signed up at Vintage faire mall in Modesto. Everything sounded great. No money out of our pocket to start, 100 visa gift card, they will pay our dish contract fees to end early,and get more channels for less than we are paying now. Everything sounded AWESOME. we gave my information and he asked for a credit card for authorization to go along with our credit check. I thought to myself okay no big deal. About 20 minuted go by and the rep tells us, they are telling me you are approved but there is a 20 dollar fee for equipment charges. I should have stopped there being that his sales pitch to my husband was, how much money does your wife have in her pocket. I had no purse on me and was carrying a cell phone so clearly our answer was none. So they come out three days later to install our cable. 1 hour after install we noticed that none of the big movie channels that we signed up for were showing. So first we paid money we weren't expecting to pay that day, then we end up on the lowest package for the same price we were paying for dish with half the channels that we had. Thankfully direct TV understands and helped us out with a higher package at a lower price. Needless to say they LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING. They later told us that the end of contract payoff is only for returning direct TV costumers that switched and came back. We spoke to a manager at their clovis office and they told us they will make it right. Said they were sending out a visa weeks ago and that we should have received it. Everytime we call someone else answers the phone. There is never a supervisor on duty,or the person we originally spoke to is not in the office. This business is by far a joke. They are very unprofessional. We have yet to receive the giftcard they promised. They told us to fax them over our final bill as well. If that goes anything like the giftcard I'm sure we will be stuck with that $200 bill as well. Do yourself a huge favor and save yourself the time and the money. Call direct TV yourself. Don't fall into a trap like we did. I am very disappointed in this decision for change. Direct TV has been awesome this company on the other hand, is HORRIBLE!!!!

Drove to Clovis from Modesto Ca and spoke to Perla who was very nice. The manager Gilbert was in the office telling us his name was tom and gilbert was out of town. He had another employee call "Gilbert" to see if he would answer only to have his phone ring on the front desk in the office. This is seriously the most unprofessional business i have EVER dealt with. I was told that we could drive back today and pick up cash. I let them know that I would not drive all the way back to fresno for the money they would have to send it! I drove to the post office paid MY OWN money for a certified mail tag with tracking number and envelope that was addressed to myself. I called today to find out why the check had not been sent only to hear that it was already sent out in this mornings mail. I checked tracking number and it has not been scanned via usps. I am filing a complaint with the BBB please read the other reviews on STAR WIRELESS before you do business with this company. They are completely shady and unprofessional which is the reason they changed their name. They make promises that are never kept. I hope this business goes under.
