Macomb Infant Preschool Program offers various special education services to children up to three years of age with physical and mental disabilities. It provides information, guidance, parent education and assistance to children s families. The program offers speech and language therapy that develops communication skills in children by using gestures, signs, pictures and words. It also provides occupational and physical therapies. The program s teaching services include various play activities that nurture many skills, including each child s approach to toys and the environment and getting along with others. Its staff includes social workers, psychologists, therapists and paraprofessionals. Macomb Infant Preschool Program is a special education program operated by the Macomb Intermediate School District.
