Dr. Tonnessen truly cares about his patients. He's direct, honest, and inspires trust and confidence. Dr. Tonnessen takes time to explain each step in the process and to answer questions.

From the very first time I came to the Vein Institute,my experience was a positive one. Dr. Tonnessen was very patient, and informative regarding the procedures he was going to use to treat my venous insufficiency. He answered all of my questions readily, and was very reassuring regarding the outcome. I really had confidence in his ability, and his caring nature. Every one of his staff was just as amazing in their support and genuine concern. They all really work together as a team, and it goes a long way to make for a good experience overall. Since the procedures, all of my leg cramps have stopped! They had previously been waking me up 2 to 3 times per night. For this alone I am very grateful. My legs are less tired during the day, and any mild ankle swelling is gone. I highly recommend Dr. Tonnessen and his wonderful team!
