Frozen shoulder is often a consequence of shoulder immobility after an arm or shoulder injury. Arthroscopy
Using arthroscopic surgery for elbow conditions offers a minimally-invasive option to repair and treat many elbow joint issues. Arthroscopy uses a tiny camera and light, which can access the elbow joint through a small incision, reducing trauma to the joint and tissues. Minimally Invasive Surgery
Both open surgery and arthroscopy can be used to repair rotator cuff tears. The goal is to increase space for the tendons and repair or reattach tendons as needed. Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy is a form of surgery that uses an arthroscope, a tiny light and digital camera that can enter joints through a very small incision. The lens on the arthroscope transmits the images of the interior joint to a monitor, giving the orthopedic surgeon a detailed view of the tissues and components. This method of surgery requires less trauma to the surrounding tissues and skin than open surgery. Most hip arthroscopic surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return home the same day. Recovery and pain can be reduced, as well as costs, when compared to open surgery for the hip.
Knee Replacement
Chondrocytes are native cartilage cells which can reproduce, but do not do so on their own. When cartilage is damaged, inflammation and osteoarthritis can follow, causing pain and limited function of the joint. Replacing chondrocytes can regenerate healthy cartilage and delay the need for knee replacement surgery. This procedure is most commonly performed on the knee joint and is FDA-approved for knee joint preservation and treatment.

Sports Medicine
The humerus, or upper arm bone, extends from the shoulder to the elbow, connecting to both joints. Falls, sports injuries and auto accidents are the most common causes of humerus fractures and other shoulder injuries. The humerus can be broken at the top of the bone near the shoulder, a proximal humerus fracture, or in the shaft of the bone. Often, non-surgical treatment can be used, but surgery intervention may be needed, depending on the extent of the break.
Physical Therapy
For upper arm bone fractures in the shaft of the humerus, immobilization with a splint, brace or cast may be used if the bone can be realigned. Only the upper arm is immobilized, with the elbow left free. The bone is allowed to heal naturally, with physical therapy used to regain strength and mobility.
Frozen Shoulder
When a shoulder is immobilized, there is a risk of inflammation in the ligaments or a thickening of the shoulder capsule. When this occurs, adhesive capsulitis, or frozen shoulder, can be the result, causing pain and mobility problems. Frozen shoulder can be relieved through conservative or non-surgical treatments, or in severe cases, surgery may be required to restore mobility.
