Decadence

This place is awful! They completely falsified their abilities in our initial consultation and their communication skills are very lacking.



Things went okay in the beginning. However the day before the wedding I started to get a little nervous; after not hearing from anyone for 4 days prior to the wedding (calling for at least two days with no answer). So I decided to go by their store, I found a sign on the door (which stayed there for about a week) that they were "closed due to the flu". Again this is the afternoon before the wedding. So tried calling yet again, no one would answer any calls to the numbers provided, so I tried several URGENT emails requesting someone to call me back.



About 5 1/2 hours 'of being sick at my stomach thinking we are not going to have a cake at all' later (we were at the rehearsal dinner) someone finally called me back. Saying something about how her emails to my work email address had gotten rejected, which is totally possible, but again I had given my work and cell numbers as well as my personal email address. So I was aggrivated, but the promise of cakes made me hold my tongue. Seriously, at this point that was my only option (besides a Walmart sheet cake).



So by time the cakes did arive, I initially was just glad to see cakes (after no communication, threat of flu, etc). Upon closer inspection, the cake was nothing like what I requested). According to the girl who delivered the cake; "It fell". However the shoddy work was apparent. The cake appeared to be melting, the ribbon wasn't ribbon but icing that was applied with what I can only guess was a butterknife, the centerpiece was supposed to be a bundle of sunflowers; and it had sunflowers. However the wire was showing that held them in place and the heads of the sunflowers were all that were placed on top. Making the cake look bare and shoddy.



After all the drama and mistakes on their part, the owner was not apologetic, in fact, combative. I do not reccomend them at all, not because of mistakes, they can happen to anyone, It's the response to the error that counts.
