They took such good care of Charlie and I couldn't be more impressed - - he had cysts removed and developed complications. They showed compassion, were extremely profesdional, and the overall cost was reasonable. We had to rush him back on NY Eve and they met us in the parking lot. He is now back to his old self and he says "aroooo!" The life of a beagle!

I have been a few times because they are near by and convenient. I’ve found them to price gouge. I have had them to put things on the bill that you just finished discussing with the vet that you would not be charged for.... this has happened twice. If I had not caught it on both occasions I would have had a very high bill indeed. $50 mistake the first time, $35 the next. Also, I was charged $50 for amoxicillan. I looked it up online and it says that if you present a prescription from a vet you can purchase the same prescription drug for only $7!!! Same amount & strength.I have just felt like I was being taken advantage of there when I compared the cost of drug and what I was charged to pay there.

Claremont Animal Hospital is truly the best vet I've ever been to. The facility is clean, the staff is always welcoming and courteous, and best of all, there is hardly ever a wait to get into your appointment. I've been to countless vets in the past and have waited sometimes more than 20 min to be called after making an appointment - but not here. Recently, we had a scare with our cat who needed immediate stomach surgery. The nurses and Doctors were calm, gave us up front pricing and took amazing care of our cat. The nurses went so far as to call my cell phone over the weekend for daily health updates. I can't recommend Claremont Animals Hospital enough.

Overall
This Vet hospital is good

I have had good experiences with Claremont Animal Hospital.

Both my cat and Boxer have had cancer and both times they diagnosed it properly and perfomed the proper surgical procedures. Unfortunately, my cat now has three legs, but has been getting on now for over 3 years without a reoccurrance. Our dog, is a Boxer, which is the breed most susceptible to cancers (she had a mast cell tumor in her leg). Dr. Fisher did both surgeries, and performed them properly both times. The dog's tumor was removed with the proper margins, and (fingers crossed) her cancer hasn't reoccured. Both times Dr. Fisher and his staff have answered every question, and sent the removed tissue to UNH in Durham for pathological evaluation.

We have been using this vet since moving to NH in 1999.

If I had a complaint, it would be that this Animal Hospital takes a lot of 'resident' vets straight out of vet school, so the turn-over is rather high, which can be frustrating since you tend to develop relationships with a particular vet, then a year or so later they've moved on.

Vets Make Mistakes And Blame Owners

I have personally had a relationship with this Clinic since 2001.

Everything was fine until they made a grave error in diagnosing and treating my animals.

Four of them died due to this Hospitals Inept Veterinarians.

They sent a young and new Veterinarian to my farm. She knew practically nothing about large animals and actually said that she had "no clue" of what was wrong.

When I called the Owner, Dr. Lynn Fisher to complain, he tried to cover his tracks by writing a statement that he didn't even know me well. Then blamed me for the deaths, using false data.

He even forged a State Health Certificate on one of my animals, changing the breed and age of the animal.

This is in current Litigation, and I had heard bad things about them in the beginning, but hadn't experienced anything personally -- until all this.

BTW----My Animals were Intentionally Poisoned by a Disgruntled Property Owner--Also in Litigation.

If you care about your animals, my advice is to find Another Animal Hospital!
