I'm an architect and graphic designer, so I was really into designing my own tattoo for this one. Nick was great about using my design, even improved it with his subtle shading and fantastic line work. Lines are smooth and dark, - but not too thick and the fills are clear and vivid; the positioning was perfect. I can certainly say that the finish product exceeded my expectations. On a different note, the shop is WAY beyond what anyone would expect. I chose the Flying Tiger based upon the portfolios posted online, but went a day ahead to check them out, see the place, check the price for the tat I had in mind and schedule the appointment. Located in Pleasant Ridge, it was very convenient for me. When I walked in, though, I was surprised! the place was not just professional, but very tastefully decorated....nice floors, oriental rugs, etc. The whole place is classy and professional...and the price seemed just right. Overall, I was very happy about the whole experience.Definitely would recommend to anyone - tattoo fanatic OR newbie.
The tattoo I got was not at all up to the standards I'd expected from reviews I'd seen for the shop. I cared for the tattoo well, yet within a couple weeks the black outline had entirely faded in multiple spots, way more than what should be needed by a first touch up. The shading is weird, and I don't know if it was supposed to be the "style" or they were trying to be cheap with ink, but the tattoo is irregularly colored and in a lot of parts the color doesn't even fill the outline, leaving blank skin. The artist didn't seem to give much professional thought to the placement, and she didn't seem to take anything from the reference picture I gave. I'm not saying there aren't possibly some good artists here, but based on my tattoo I'm shocked this place has a good reputation.
Although it takes me about 30 mins from Kentucky to get here, it's worth it. I'd recommend this place to first timers or people getting their 20th tattoo. I've visited other parlors, and the people have been rude and the prices too high. I've gotten all my tattoos here and they've always been friendly, professional and give reasonable pricing. Also, it's always clean and they play some good music. :)
To those above complaining, Your taste in ink is as poor as the grammar you use to review. I've been tatted in three states and this shop is by far the most professional, clean and enjoyable environment I've seen. Affordable & extremely detail oriented.
Don't base your judgment of the shop off one idiot's review. The tattoo artists here are some of the best in all of Cincinnati. LA is the one closest artists to being considered an ink master that I've ever met.
Happy with my tats so far. I had a back piece done back in 2005 and it still looks awesome. Now I am getting a ribcage piece done and it looks good so far and the outline healed fast.
I got my first tattoo at white crane by jesse. I love it, his attention to detail is amazing and I will never go to another place.
BEST TATTOO SHOP IN CINCINNATI HANDS DOWN!!! I get all my tattoos there and I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.......
Great guy. Great artist. Great work. 100% trust this place and will definitely be back very very soon.
Jason is the best! Great crew, service and extraordinary artists!!
