        Very unprofessional. Before leaving to donate, I called ahead to make sure they were open/accepting new donors/etc. The phone rang over 10 times before I hung up.

        I decided to go regardless. I drove half an hour and got there 2.5 hours before closing. I still got turned away at the door because they had "too many new clients." When I explained my situation and how I tried to call, the only thing the woman at the check-in counter said was, "Oh, I guess there just wasn't anyone at the phone. Try again earlier tomorrow."

        I'm very disappointed in how this was handled and hope they find some way to alleviate this problem. Either get a receptionist that actually answers phones or find a way to handle an influx of potential donors.

        Overall

        I went to donate several months ago. I went through all the paperwork, blood work etc. When it came time to be drug tested, this big blonde nurse started yelling and said I tested positive for Vicadin. This is impossible because I have never done any drugs and never ever had Vicadin. I asked for a 2nd test and was turned down as if I were a drug addict!
