Overall

I have been very disappointed with the overall maintenance of Roselawn for many years. Projects are rarely finished in a timely fashion. New ground's keepers come and go quarterly (if they last that long). Grave markers continue to be destroyed by backhoes when graves are being dug. Far too much energy is spent on pre sales and far too little time is spent on maintenance. The fence across the front is shabby and creates a poor first impression. Several years ago trees that separate the cemetery from the unsightly view of neighboring businesses were removes, leaving an less that appealing view. I would like to see StoneMor,(google it) the parent company invest more money in the beatification of the cemetery and restore it to its 1960's glory

I would not even give it a one...

I would not even give it a one star but had to. Recently we delivered a marker for my Father's grave that we had saved for 2 years to obtain. We dropped the marker and granite off to be layed only to be called 2 WEEKS later saying it has scratches on it and wondered if we still wanted to have it layed or have it fixed.

First of all there were many people who saw the marker and I myself had taken photos of it and had looked at and prayed over it when I left it. Having this marker finailly placed has been very emotional to us.

I explained in detail that there were no scratches when left only to be told that I could 'Lay it as is" or send it back to be fixed. My Sister went out to look at it only to be brushed off, and talked to by two very unprofessional employees, who obviously have no compassion to talk to a family over there passing family member's marker with no respect.

After asking for someone else to talk to we contacted Mr. Parks, who was very nice, understanding, compassionate, and offered to fix at no charge within a week.

I am praying all goes as planned so it can be placed as should be. I would not reccommend Roselawn to anyone, and feel the office staff need lessons in humanity and customer service.

The one star is only because I...

The one star is only because I had to give it something...I'd rather give it no stars. I must say that I am very dissapointed in the service my family recently received at Roselawn. Our family has used Roselawn for decades but for me personally, this will stop. My father was cremated and although my parents had pre-paid for their burial plots, we were surprised to learn that we still owed $450 to "open" the burial site. I'm confused as to why the site had to be "opened" when there was no grave to dig. This payment had to be paid before my father's final arrangements could even proceed. The lady doing the paperwork had to do it twice due to mistakes she made. In addition, when the funeral director and family arrived on the morning of the service, nothing was ready (even though the service was to begin in 20 minutes). There was no canopy, no chairs, nothing. Thankfully, our funeral director took matters into his own hands and arranged to get chairs set up before the service began. At the very least, Roselawn could have brushed the dead grass from mowing off my father's marker prior to the service. The fact that we had to pay $450 for NOTHING, is very dissapointing. I will not recommend Roselawn as a final resting place and that's a shame since so many of my family members are buried there. Roselawn, please take a look at how you handle arrangements and for the sake of grieving families, take action to improve!

I have noticed an incredible d...

I have noticed an incredible difference concerning the landscaping and property management within the last few weeks. The only reason I have given 3 stars for a rating is because a month ago it would not have qualified for 1 star. Within the last few weeks I have wittnessed an incredible turn around in property management and attention to detail concerning the landscaping and maintenance of the cemetery. Recently I have submitted multiple work orders for my family members resting there that have been neglected in the past and now all them have been accomplished within 24hrs. I only hope that the maintenance team employed there remains because they are hard workers and enjoyable to interact with. The cemetery has been neglected for years and finally it is moving in the right direction. Grass is finallly growing in front of the mosolium! To whom it may concern, please take care of the team you have employed for the maintenance of the grounds. I would hate to see it all fall apart now that things are looking so good. Thank you, Halo4u.
