Pete Papagiannopoulos, MD, serves as the Director of Rush Oak Brook Otolaryngology and is an Assistant Professor in Rush Medical College. He is also is a member of the Division of Rhinology, Sinus, and Skull Base Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American College of Surgeons and American Rhinologic Society where he serves on the Continuing Medical Education Committee. Dr. Papagiannopoulos has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and delivered numerous lectures nationally on sinus disease and minimally invasive skull base surgery. He is a reviewer of multiple scientific journals including the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology and American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy. His academic distinctions include membership of the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society, Intern of the Year Award for General Surgery, Intern of the Year Award for Cardiovascular Surgery, and was privileged to serve as the Chief Resident in his Otolaryngology residency. Dr. Papagiannopoulos believes that unique, patient centered care is the absolute foundation to taking the best care of patients – having strong patient relationships is what inspires him on a daily basis. Dr. Papagiannopoulos completed his fellowship in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania where he expanded on his expertise in the management of refractory sinusitis and polyps, revision sinus surgery, management of cerebrospinal fluid leak rhinorrhea, endoscopic orbital surgery, and minimally invasive skull base surgery for benign and malignant tumors.
