This ESC location does not provide adequate customer service. They never answer the phones and I had to wait almost five hours to speak with an agent that stated that my problem could have been settled via the telephone. Maybe if they would answer the phones, less people would have to visit. This would decrease the wait time for people that actually need to see an agent. I had to reschedule a job interview due to this incident! I noted this on my weekly report as a contact. I also noted the agents name that confirmed that I had no reason to be there. This will also be reported to Raleigh, NC.

The ESC, here in Charlotte at least, does a poor job of helping one to find employment. A person has to wait almost the entire day before speaking with an agent. Being disabled but having a small window open to doing work that is near what I did before, within certain limitations. There was no encouragement, enthusiasm and very little or no eye contact. That is just one area, among many, that would induce one to not give up hope and vigoriously pursue finding a new job.
