This place is a filthy hole in the wall (and THAT alone should have clued me in!) Upon entering, I was inside a dark and dingy, tile-floored eating area that was absolutely FREEZING. I waited in the car with my other 1/2 until the food was ready. Oddly too, the entire cooking staff was behind a glass window. We ordered the General Gau's Chicken Combo Plate and it was disgusting! It was as if they had dumped jarred barbecue sauce over soggy balls of chicken. It didn't even have the classic Gen. Gau's taste and within minutes, a gelatinous goo formed around them in the plate. The rice was burnt-tasting and within 20 minutes, we were feeling nauseous after having ingested it. The soup (Hot & Sour) was bland and all that was included in the plate were a mere 3 black and crispened spareribs! The only edible part of the entire meal were the crab rangoons (which I hate, incidentally,) but I was hungry. If you drive by this place, keep driving. You're likely to be ripped off or sick.
