Biopsies are performed to confirm whether a mass or lesion is cancerous. Thanks to advances in imaging, you no longer need surgery to get an answer. Image-guided biopsies are minimally invasive and low-risk for complications. Our providers can offer several biopsy options to meet your clinical needs. MRI, ultrasound, and CT-guided biopsies all use imaging to guide needles to collect tumor samples.
MRI
Our radiologists use diagnostic injections to detect any abnormalities, injuries, or diseases. These injections, typically given in a joint, introduce a contrast agent to highlight different anatomical structures on MRI, CT, or fluoroscopy scans to help with diagnosis. Therapeutic injections are a minimally invasive way to provide pain relief. Therapeutic injections can also drain fluid from your joints or deliver a steroid for longer-lasting pain relief.

ARI is a busy private practice group currently with 20 members. Our scope of practice includes all areas of general radiology, mammography, fluoroscopy, and nonvascular interventional procedures (arthrography, LPs, biopsies, basic drainages, myelograms). The group structure is democratic with all on-site radiologists enjoying the same amount of time off.
Computed Tomography
S imaging includes a wide variety of services, and our board-certified radiologists are trained to provide expert care. In addition to screening and diagnostic mammograms, we offer several breast imaging options, including breast MRI, breast ultrasound, and breast biopsy. We also use MRI and CT scans to detect ovarian and uterine problems, as well as any gastrointestinal issues. Bone health is also critical as women age. We use X-ray scans to determine our patients’ bone mineral density and assess their risk for osteoporosis.

Musculoskeletal imaging covers a wide variety of diagnostic studies. We use the latest technology to provide X-rays, CT scans, MRI studies, and ultrasounds of the spine, muscles, tendons, and bones to pinpoint any injuries or problems related to sports medicine, orthopedics, oncology, trauma, and rheumatology. We also offer image-guided interventional and procedures, including biopsies and therapeutic injections for pain relief and fluid drainage. We work closely with your referring provider to discuss the results of your scan.
