Excelent!!!

I had to have my first root canal and he was FANTASTIC. He is extremely gentle and makes you feel as relaxed as possible. Also the office assistants were all EXTREMELY nice and will help you out in any way possible. I would recommend him to anyone that is nervous about their dental work.

Root canal therapy is performed in single or multiple appointments based on your specific case. If an infection is present, Dr. Sahni may place a medication inside the root canal system. You will then return to complete the root canal treatment at a later date. There is no additional fee for multiple appointments. When your root canal has been completed, a temporary restoration will be placed in your tooth. You will need to return to your general dentist to have a permanent filling placed and typically a crown. THIS IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE SUCCESS RATE OF YOUR ROOT CANAL. Please contact your general dentist to make the proper appointments. At the completion of your treatment, our office will schedule you a six-month follow up exam to evaluate the progress of your healing. This appointment is provided free of charge.
Bridges
The cost associated with a root canal procedure can vary depending on several factors, such as the severity of damage to the affected tooth, the complexity of the root canal anatomy, the requirements for profound anesthesia and the location of the tooth affected. Dr. Sahni will determine the fee for your procedure after examining you at your consultation. Please keep in mind that endodontic treatment is generally much less expensive than tooth removal and replacement with an implant restoration or fixed bridge.

Root Canal Treatment
After dental school Dr. Sahni completed his General Practice Residency (GPR) at Indiana University Hospital. This additional training strengthened his knowledge in pharmacology, medicine, pain management, and the treatment of medically compromised patients. Following the completion of his GPR, Dr. Sahni served his endodontic residency at Indiana University and the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2004 he received his certificate in endodontics along with a Master's Degree in Dentistry (MSD).
Apicoectomy
Generally, a root canal is all that is needed to save a tooth with an injured pulp from extraction. However, sometimes this non-surgical procedure will not be sufficient to heal the tooth and Dr. Sahni will recommend surgery. Endodontic surgery can be used to locate fractures or hidden canals that do not appear on x-rays but still manifest discomfort in the tooth. Damaged root surfaces or the surrounding bone may also be treated with this procedure. The most common surgery used to save damaged teeth is an apicoectomy, or root-end resection.

Dentures
Often the only other alternative is removal of the tooth. The extracted tooth must then be replaced with an implant, bridge or removable partial denture to restore chewing function and to prevent adjacent teeth from shifting. Because these options require extensive surgery or dental procedures on adjacent healthy teeth, they can be far more costly and time consuming than the endodontic procedure and restoration of the natural tooth. No matter how effective tooth replacements are, nothing is as good as your own natural tooth. You've probably already made an investment in saving your tooth. The payoff for choosing endodontic treatment could be a healthy, functioning natural tooth for many years to come.
