Cedarapids has crushing, screening, asphalt mixing and asphalt paving equipment hard at work in nearly every country in the world. Founded in 1923, the company has evolved over the years to match the demands of road building. In the early 1920s, Cedarapids introduced the first portable aggregate plant: an easily transportable machine that receives unprocessed stone at one end, reduces it in size, then produces ready-to-use material at the other. As roads evolved from simple crushed stone surfaces to all-weather hard surfaces, Cedarapids kept pace. In 1929, the company introduced one of the first hot mix asphalt plants. In 1956, Cedarapids unveiled its first asphalt paver line, equipped with another industry first: the vibrating screed. The device substantially boosted both paving speed and volume over competitive models. More than 75 years later, Cedarapids offers aggregate processing systems, hot mix asphalt facilities and asphalt pavers. Cedarapids is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
