Falmouth Motor Car

I ignored the bad reviews and SORELY REGRETTED it. They WILL con you if you are not careful! I was charged an exorbitant amount for work I did not want done, did not ask for and was NOT informed about beforehand. Don't be drawn in by the flashy signs and seemingly friendly service- after they take your money they are NOT nice once they have your cash in hand. Not worth it for the convenience of the location.

They guys are a rip off I brought in my car for a diag test, the dude said it be an hrs time but charged me almost 2 hrs. later he quoted me a 95 napa part for like over a grand!! Like seriously man this douche eye balls you feet up seein my nikes he figured he could take me for a ride.

We brought our Caravan to Falmouth Motor Car for AC service, Joe, who identified himself as the proprietor suggested he perform an AC leak down test to which we obliged. Although as later the pricing billboard delineated that said service would entail a $99 fee, we were informed from the get go that our charge would be $130+ in our case.



Later during the course of ensuing mechanical's the service tech said we needed an Evaporator EVAP Core which he priced out at $300 along with an additional $740 labor (although eBay has numerous entries for around $75) He also said we'd be set back an additional $1400 though on his own invoice the pricing was capped at $1040.



In our opinion this establishment is suffering from egregious overcharging tactics although we argue their business model there're within their rights to charge as they see fit.



Needless to say; while we value supporting the local community we would have let the incident slide thru, however we thought Joe's candor in matter was unwarranted especially as we amiably pointed out our sentiments to which Joe wielded a harsh reply even suggesting he involve our brothers in blue as a stopgap for his praetorian antics.



We are appalled that FMC resorts to such villainous techniques despite media efforts which paint a facade to the contrary.
