I used to live in Carson in the late 70's 'till the early 90's, having tasted my first Jim Boy's at the Sullivan Lane place in Reno, where I worked for a while painting cars.
They were so danged good, that I was depressed when I found work back in carson!
Anyways, I had the fortune of riding my bike from N.J. to Carson back in '92 to visit family and friends, and was stunned to see a Jim Boy's in Carson.
Remembering how good they were, I was hoping that were still the same things as before.
So I ordered one, and sat down to eat it. (just the basic Taco mind you)
Gone in seconds!
So I ordered 8 more (and an iced tea!) and while I scarfed these wonderful things down, I contemplated going back home to NJ...ever!
They really are _THAT_ good.
But alas, I did have to go home after a weeks stay, so I ordered two dozen on my last day there, and what I couldn't eat as I left for home, I put the rest in my saddle bags for lunch and dinner that night.
If they opened just ONE in Central Jersey, they would be a multi billion dollar company in a few weeks.
Keep up the great stuff, folks!

On my way home this evening after a very long day, I had an EXTREME craving for mexican food but did not feel like going inside a restaurant for dinner as I was too tired. Taco Bell is always Taco Bell when you are in a hurry and their store is right up the street, but tonight I wanted something more authentic, so Jimboy's WAS IT. They are convieniently located on the 395 freeway & Hwy 50 here in Carson City, with a drive thru that is easily accessable.
I placed my order and did not have to wait for my food. When I got to the window, I paid the attendant and my food was ready right then. I had ordered a bean & cheese burrito, a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada, my food was neatly packaged in individual boxes. When I got home I found EVERYTHING as I had ordered and with the heavenly smell I couldn't wait to eat.
After savoring every single bite, I immediately called Jimboy's and told the man in charge how much I enjoyed my food. Because they are not only authentic in the preparation of the food, their staff is also authentic so I don't know if he understood what I was saying when I called with my compliments. I can only recommend anyone & everyone to Jimboy's as a #1 choice if you are looking for authentic mexican take-out.
Trust me, give Jimboy's a try and you will agree the next time you are in the mood for REAL mexican take-out, pass up Taco Bell and find your nearest Jimboy's Taco's (and more), you will go back over & over again!!!!
Thank you for reading my review, you will be THANKING ME when you have the opportunity to enjoy a meal from Jimboy's Tacos.
