I have attended Village Bible Church for the past 2 1/2 years. (Wow, has it been that long already?!) After being in churches of very large congregations (500-800 people) with multiple Sunday services and lots of "entertainment"-style worship, I got tired of feeling anonymous and singing next to strangers every Sunday. The sermons were spiritually sound and people were friendly enough, but I knew nobody would miss me if I wasn't there. I also knew there was no way the pastor could know me by name in a flock that big.
I wanted a church small enough to foster true personal connections, but big enough to still meet my spiritual needs. VBC was exactly what I was looking for! With a congregation of about 130 people (including lots of kids and teens!), I was able to get to know the church body, start developing relationships, and feel more connected to God as a result. Sunday mornings became a time to worship with friends. Several people (including the pastor himself) took me under their wing and really took an interest in me, helping me work through some personal struggles. As a lifelong introvert, I'm not usually excited about "getting involved," but I decided to take the plunge and dive into several church extracurriculars: going to church softball games, attending the women's bible study and sinking my teeth into meatier spiritual lessons (ala A. W. Tozer), even volunteering to run the Sunday morning PowerPoint once a month.
Bottom line: If I'm not there, I know I will be missed. And that's not just a warm, fuzzy; it's biblical accountability, the kind you just can't maintain in larger churches. If you're feeling lonely or "lost in the crowd" at a megachurch, come visit us at VBC! We're still a bunch of broken, flawed, sinful people, but we're working hard to love each other the way Jesus loves us. Come worship with us anytime! :)

Are you looking for a warm friendly atmosphere? Come to Village Bible Church! The love of Jesus Christ shines through in how the members treat everyone who walks through our doors. And the Word of God shines through loud and clear as our pastor carefully and fearlessly teaches what God says in the Bible and helps us apply it to our daily lives. Our children and teens are also learning God’s truth in a fun, engaging atmosphere. The youth groups make sure that all who attend feel welcome and included. Our church is large enough to support activities such as AWANA and Vacation Bible School, yet small enough to be an extended family. We strive to help everybody further their relationship with the Father, grow in their love of Jesus Christ and follow Him, and depend upon the Holy Spirit to guide their lives. We welcome those who are committed in their faith as well as those who are seeking the truth. Please visit us soon!
