The scope of speech pathology is very broad. Individuals served range from infancy through adulthood presenting with a variety of speech-language disorders including developmental delays in language acquisition, Autism, Apraxia, Oral-Motor Dysfunction, Fluency, Social-Pragmatic Deficits, Traumatic Brain Injury, Aphasia and Feeding and Swallowing. Our Speech-Language Pathologists provide direct therapy through the establishment and implementation of individualized treatment plans developed from the assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders. Our approach to intervention, whether it be cognitively, or motorically based is to view speech and language acquisition as a developmental continuum with the role of the therapist as a facilitator, utilizing scientific and technical expertise while being the visionary that pulls the individual along the continuum, as they acquire the building blocks of skills that leads to the eventual mastery of goals. We enjoy working with parents, caregivers and other professionals in a holistic approach, providing support and guidance as we collaboratively work toward habilitation.
