Burnett Veterinary Hospital

This place is horrible! I attempted to work with Dr. Burnett and her staff, but Dr. Burnett is ruthlessly mean, and will make you feel stupid, and basically kick you while youre down. I was a student looking into becoming a vet assistant, but the dr completely ruined the experience for me and now i have no desire to continue. I took time off during my studies because i was having a baby but did the internship anyway because i felt confident in my abilities, and i figured the staff yould be there to help-sadly mistaken. being a student that they accepted into their facility to give hands-on training, youd think that they would be willing to actually teach, but no. when asked what certain collection tube top colors meant, and i got it wrong, so i asked what was in them and they wouldnt even tell me for the sake of knowing what was going on with the blood test. i was accused of "half-assing" something for not doing it correctly because im learning...so teach me! on top of all that, they really are not friendly to the animals behind the scenes. the first day there, the office manager tugged a dog on a leash hard enough to slam its head into the doorway. bottom line, nobody is ever good enough to work with these people, they are mean, unaccepting, and just all-around rude people. do not take your pets here.

I was quoted $150 to $200 TOTAL for my dog to be neutered and (not counting extra costs due to a complication) when I went to pick him up it was over $300. They had forgotten to tell me that they charge extra for the anesthesia and catheter and IV and other items that are REQUIRED for the procedure. And of course my dog was to be held hostage until I paid. When I argued that they had quoted me a significantly smaller amount she called out her two coworkers so they could all argue with me.What a scam. I will NEVER go there again. And sadly they know that they can lie to you about the price before hand because they assume you will pay whatever they ask afterwards in order to get your pet back. They should be shut down!!
