Eddie Lucio Middle School is recognized by the Texas Education Agency and is located in Brownsville, Texas. The school s core curriculum includes English, science, math, history, reading, special and physical education, band and choir. It has a team of guidance counselors who provide classroom guidance lessons that emphasize on character education, safety education and violence prevention. The school has a library media center that provides access to a variety of resources and information to guide the educational process. It offers various sporting activities, including track and field, football, volleyball, soccer, basketball and softball. Established in 1997, Eddie Lucio Middle School provides educational classes in grades seven and eight and is a part of the Brownsville Independent School District.
