I had four contractors come to give me a quote to have two load bearing walls removed. Ryan was prompt, professional and came in with a competitive estimate. I was thinking of having beams put in, but he suggested to have LVL's put in the ceiling and hang the joists. This is what I originally wanted but did not think I could afford. His price was only slightly higher than the others quoted me for beams (lesser work). I expected that there would be additional costs, especially when it was determined that four LVL's were needed instead of three and 14 inch LVL's instead of 12 inch. Yet, the bill matched his estimate and the work was completed in less time. What amazed me even more, is how clean and professional his crew was. Each day the work area was spotless. Ryan advised me on tiling tips and even took some of my demolition debris that I had from earlier, as he had room in his trailer. I recommend Fontaine Construction to anyone and everyone.
