Shelter Insurance

I was with Shelter Insurance for ten years and had a total of two agents. Towards the end of my policy, I was in a no-fault accident. For six months I didn't have a car. When I called to speak to my car insurance agent, Angela Moore, she was unsympathetic, and wanted to sell me a policy for a vehicle I no longer had (my car was totaled). I felt like she was more concerned about keeping her underwriting and sales numbers up than helping me with my car insurance.



It took me months to get a refund on my insurance policy as my car was totaled and I was not driving at the time. I had to make numerous phone calls and had to speak to regional manager to get a refund on my car insurance. My experience with Shelter Insurance was horrible and even more disappointing when I needed their help when I was in a car accident. This was an eye opening experience as I now realize that some agents are not there to help you they are there to make a sale and can be even more unhelpful when you need their help when you need to use insurance.
