Manor care is clean and neat. They have a decent nursing staff who communicate a bit too much for a full care facility, but overall did a good job of nursing care. The other aspects of this facility are not good, such as communication on meds, changes, behavior and treating family decent when the patient has mental issues. We left after a year and it was none too soon. Sorry to say. I wish them the best of luck!

I would definatley reccomend ManorCare Boulder to everyone. It is very clean and well organized. The Physical therapits and Occupatinal theapists are great. I especially enjoyed Janice the CNA she was wonderful and so patient and helped me get situated right so i was comfortable.

I was most impressed with the Therapy at ManorCare Boulder which is very accurate and professional. They helped me to get better and return home. I especially appreciated the spare time given to me during my stay to do things I like to do. You receive equal time to do therapy and also things you enjoy so you are not burnt out by being treated by the Doctors and Therapists all the time.

I'm writing from California, looking forward to holiday celebrations with family members. But a year ago, I was just leaving my Manor Care "temporary home" of Nov.18-Dec.11 to finally go home to south Boulder, after exceptional care by remarkable people from many different countries! Many times I have remembered--as I'm sure I will the rest my life--the wonderful care and therapy I received which made it possible for me to enjoy all that I do now!
In October, 2012, I was diagnosed with a very serious blood infection, which led to a second open heart surgery to replace a "sick" valve in my heart which was spreading the infection. That surgery, and some bowel and kidney failure (dialysis necessary); caused doctors at St. Joseph's-Denver hospital to have concern that I might die. I did not die; my kidneys and bowels recovered, so I was able to be transferred to Good Samaritan/Lafayette hospital. A month later I was still very sick, but had improved enough to move to Manor Care on Nov. 18. While in the hospitals, I was so sick that I do not remember much about those who cared for me there.
However, at Manor Care, although I still was sick, I was well enough to really appreciate the staff, many of whom had very, very unpleasant jobs to do--often in the middle of the night, caring for an angry old man (not really angry about the care--angry that I no longer had a 30-year old body)! I tried to tell all those great staff people how I appreciated their care and therapy, but I likely did not share my thanks well and evenly enough. Because of the many different nationalities and languages, I asked many of them how to say--and write--"thank you" in their first language, then created a card of thanks together with a vase of roses to say "goodbye".
Especially now, a year later, I still often think about many of those who endured me with mostly positive, cheerful attitudes! So, again I say "Thank you", "Thank you"!

The staff helped me to get back on my feet and get better. They were all very encouraging. the nurses and CNA's were wonderful, especially Emily the nurse and Tom the therapist.
