Des Moines Area Community College, located in Boone, Iowa, is one of six locations of the institution that has an enrollment of more than 26,000 college credit students and over 30,000 enrolled in continuing education or business training classes. It offers more than 75 career programs, transfer degrees and over 3,000 classes. It offers subjects, such as accounting, arts and crafts, agri business, American Sign Language, anthropology, Arabic, automotive, aviation, biology, business administration, chemistry, Chinese, and computer and Internet. The college also offers criminal justice, culinary arts, drama, economics, English, French, engineering, German, global studies, history, humanities, Japanese, Italian, journalism, literature, management, marketing and mathematics. The community college has more than 2,000 faculty members on its campuses. It also offers various sports activities, including volleyball, basketball, baseball and golf.
