I don't know where all these "five star" reviews are coming from, unless they are solely evaluating the doctors (Jessica Dumas was really nice). But, I have never had a worse experience dealing with a medical office. I will never go back to this office.



The desk staff were rude and very distracted. They didn't even make eye contact. I felt like I was in some crappy government healthcare place. They also have some seriously sketchy billing practices. They insisted that I pay a copay (which my insurance does not require for well visits) before my appointment. When I pointed out that my insurance (BCBS) doesn't have a copay for well visits, they claimed that they would refund the copay if I could show them that later on. I have never had this problem at a doctor's office. First of all, it's ridiculous that they couldn't tell in their system that my plan (for which I provided my card) doesn't charge a copay for well visits, and then that they wouldn't take two minutes to call and find out. Later that day, I had BCBS call them to ask for a refund on my behalf. They said (and not in a friendly voice) that they would issue a refund as soon as they could. It's been over a month now, and no refund. I think this office is either seriously mis-managed for running a scam.



I also came in for a different appointment to get a vaccination. After waiting 30 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time, I was told they didn't have the vaccine I needed in stock, even though I had called the day before to make sure.

I have been a patient of Dr. Barruw's over 15 years and I can always count on very attentive and courteous professionalism from the doctor and staff. They have always given me excellent care and I would recommend them in the highest of terms to anyone requiring 5 star service in healthcare.

I have been a patient of Associated Family Physicians for at least 5 years under the care of Dr. Lynda Altman. She and her staff are fantastic. I have never been disappointed. Dr. Altman takes her time and gives a thorough examination. She listens to all of my questions and explains all the answers. I am glad that she is my primary care physician and highly recommend her and this practice.

We have been going to Dr. Altman since we moved to Florida many, many years ago. She is a wonderful and caring doctor and she has helped us through many medical problems. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is a pleasure to go to the office and would reccomend Associated Family Physcians to anyone who is looking for a professional place for their medical needs.

Dr. Altman and her staff are the best. The office is very professional, organized and thorough. The staff always seem happy to help you and although it is a large facility, you do NOT feel like you are rushed through or treated like you are on an assembly line. Do not question choosing this group of people for your healthcare.

This is a good place to go for doctors. It is close to home and if there is an emergency you can always get in to see someone. They are very attentive and are very pleasant.

See Dr. Lynda Altman. I've been her patient for over 15 yrs. she's a truly kind, caring excellent doctor with a wealth of experience. She gives you all the time you need. She never rushes or looks at hervwatch. Remember that if she keeps u waiting 10 minutes. All that happened was that she was spending time with someone else. You will get the same type of attention. I highly recommend her.

For more than 10 years Dr. Lynda Altman and the staff at Assoc.Family Physicians have been taken care of me and my husband. I always receive the utmost care, I never feel rushed, Dr. Altman listens to all my concerns. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend Dr. Altman and all the physicians at the practice to all my friends!!

I had my first visit with Jessica L. Dumas today and I couldn't be happier with how this office was running like a well-oiled machine. Everyone seemed so friendly and personable, you felt very comfortable speaking to them; even the Receptionist!! At the end of my appointment, I immediately made an appointment for my fiance' since he wasn't happy with his current primary physician. I will be coming back to this office again and again (as needed ~ lol)

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Barruw over 10 yrs. We are very pleased how

well they handle their patients in a timely and very pleasant manner. I always get my test results from Dr. Barruw's nurse the next day and she is a wonderful nurse. Also, very gentle

went taking your blood. She is very nice to everyone and truely cares about each patient. I am so glad a friend recommended them to me when I moved to Deerfield. When I was in the hospital Dr. Barruw was there every day to check on my progress. This is a very well run office and recommend them highly.

She is always listening to your needs and in fact i brought my 93 year old mother there yesterday for the 1st time and I have to tell you it was like she had been going for a long time.
