I heard about Detail Doctor when I saw their work performed on a couple of vehicles. Just had my truck detailed by them. They did an above average job. Yes they did miss a couple of little spots such as leaving some excess wax residue on the paint but its nothing that I couldn't take care of on my own. They are a little on the pricey side. For $180 it included hand wash, waxed, polished, steamed cleaned the seats and carpet, windows. I did have them clean the engine bay for an extra charge. The paint looks much better. If I wanted it buffed it would be an extra charge. Overall I would give them another try and recommend them.

I normally don't bother writing reviews, but after this experience I felt compelled to. My normal detailer was booked for 3 weeks strait and couldn't get me in. I found this place online and I searched but couldn't find any reviews online about this place. Well after my experience with this place I will say this: If you care about getting quality detailing for your car, avoid this place at all cost. I would give it no stars if I could,

They did a really poor job on my car. I paid them close to $200 for extra services and they still didn't do a decent job. My car is only a little over 1 year old and I only get it hand washed or wash it myself, and get it fully detailed twice a year to keep the swirl marks away. There were still plenty of swirl marks left in my paint AFTER they said they polished and waxed the car. They left wax that was unpolished/unbuffed at different spots all around the car too. It's like they did it just to say it was done, but really didn't care about the detail. They said they conditioned the interior but they only conditioned the leather on the dash and under the window, they didn't even touch my seats or door inserts and when I pointed this out they adamantly said they did but it was clear they didn't. I ended up reconditioning the interior myself when I got home and got the results I wanted. The grill still had dirt in between the vents. When I pointed out all these things with the dirt and the excess wax etc. The manager (Rick) tried to come out and start cleaning the grill and trying to wipe off the unbuffed wax. At that point it was pretty obvious that he thought they did a good job and just missed a few spots, he really didn't seem concerned to make it right other than taking a terry towel and trying to wipe off the dirt and wax. I so disappointed with that place, I didn't want them to touch my car anymore and just paid them the money so I could get my keys back and get out.The place even has a sign inside that says treat the customer right, or someone else will. I wish they lived by that. They never even apologized once and basically just said 'thank you, come again' after they took my money without a second thought.

I ordered the full detail ($125), which included wash, polish, wax and interior conditioned. I paid an extra $40 for them to clay bar the car for which they said takes them 1 hour, and I paid and extra $15 dollars to clean up the engine bay. Around this area The price usually runs about $150 plus a generous tip for all that. The entire process took them only 3 hours from start to finish. If you know anything about proper detailing, this entire process usually takes much closer to an entire day and sometimes more, especially for the price I paid. Normally when I take my car to my detailer he takes at least a day if not more to complete all this work (and he's cheaper), so I was real skeptical when they (Steve) called me after 3 hours and said the work was done. Even when I took my car home, my neighbor noticed that it was a pretty bad job without me even mentioning it. He asked me if I did the wax job myself and if I was "dabbling" in detailing. Needless to say I was embarrassed when i told him it was supposedly professionally done.

If you care about your car being detailed properly, my advise is find another place. There are plenty of people in the Youngstown area that do a better job for less money.
