Bloomfield Public Schools serves more than 2,400 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district s schools organize classes in math, science, social studies and language arts. Its libraries and media centers include a variety of resources, such as storybooks, journals, magazines, dictionaries, encyclopedias and Internet access. Bloomfield Public Schools also host various foreign languages, vocal music and physical education sessions. The district s schools provide classes in art, computer applications, history, math, science, life skills, reading and technology education. The district s schools offer several sports activities, such as cross-country, football, soccer, tennis, basketball, wrestling, tennis and softball. In addition, each district school has a cafeteria that offers various food items. Bloomfield Public Schools has been operational since 1917 and is located in Bloomfield, Conn.
