Operational since 1928, Giorgio Foods is one of the largest mushroom growers and processors in the United States. Its capabilities include prepping, washing, sizing, cooling, freezing, canning and distribution. The company serves clients in the retail, food service and industrial markets. Giorgio Foods also assists prepared food manufacturers in developing mushroom toppings, sauces, side dishes and finger foods. The company operates more than two farms and a fleet of delivery trucks. It also administers an independent mushroom research and development department that analyzes and tests raw materials and new recipes. Giorgio Foods supplies products to supermarkets, restaurants, club and convenience stores, schools and the military.
