Founded in 1960, the Disabled Students' Program is an educational institution that serves more than 800 students. Located in Berkeley, Calif., the institution employs over 30 staff members. It provides academic advising, attendant referral, auxiliary, assistive technology, disability access, financial advising, housing, priority enrollment proctoring and student support services. The institution s residence program features assistance services in the development of critical skills and confidence. In addition, it maintains a team of readers and sign language interpreters, as well as provides assistive listening devices and alternative media. The Disabled Students' Program provides financial assistance and disability management counseling services.
