AMLI Bellevue Park

These money-hungry, greedy property managers will suck you dry. If you don't want to regret it, save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere. I rented there for 3 noisy years (walls are paperthin, construction from the break of dawn), not to mention creepy neighbors and cars in the garage constantly being broken into. After I decided to move out they made up all sorts of false allegations about the state of my apartment to try to squeeze more money out of me, despite having a walk-through where they said it looked fine.



They charged me for "red stains" on a part of the carpet that was covered for 3 years by a beige sectional sofa. I went back to see the carpet as I didn't believe them and no one, including the staff, could see any stains.



They are immoral liars and try to meet their numbers by lying - if you are looking for an unethical management office, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a loud place where you will get minimal sleep, this is the place for you. If you are looking to spend more money than the place is worth, this is the place is for you.



If you want to live in downtown Bellevue, there are much better places to live where they won't cheat you. The two top recommended ones are:



1) Belcarra (this place is amazing, quiet, has lower rent, better management and a gorgeous common area)



2)Avalon (great management, conveniently located over Safeway)



Make sure you don't regret your choice - avoid Amli at Bellevue Park at all costs!!!

We moved to Amli in Bellevue in September and cannot wait to get out. Here are the recent highlights:

1. The front door in 10001 building has been broken twice in the last 3 months. The management's solution: leave it open during the day, jeopardizing the security of residents and vehicles in the garage, and lock in dead during the evening hours, so the only way into the building is through the garage door. It took them more than two weeks to fix the door, and they "conveniently" decided not to inform the residents about the status of fixing it. Once, there was a poorly written, with grammatical mistakes, note saying it would be fixed December 3, 2009. And, of course, it was not; they just took that note down.



2. Cars break-ins. See above and guess why the residents got their cars broken into. Yes, the open front door: anyone can get in in the after work hours and go looking for valuables. Never ever leave anything of value in your car if you decide to live there.



3. The office personnel is not responsive and usually simply unavailable. The packages are not delivered to the front door of the apartment and left with the leasing office. The issue is that it would be weeks before one can actually pick it up: the leasing office hours are a joke. They list their office hours as "open till at 6". I was there twice during the week of December 14th, 2009, at 5:20 sharp, waiting for 40 minutes, thinking they might be showing apartments, and finally just ended up leaving both times, after realizing that they just left for the day.



4. Parking: you and your friends can forget about street parking on weekends and on days when Water Babies is in session. They have a pool downstairs, at the underground parking level 2, which provides classes for toddlers. Of course, kids and their parents crowds all the surrounding areas with their cars several times a week, therefore, no one can park along the street or in the parking lot across. Same goes on in winter months due to the ice skating arena in the downtown Park: people all over town come it to skate and park their cars.



5. Smell: Parking level 2 smells like a mixture of chlorine and mold because of the moisture from the pool and a rotten smell from a tiny gym. The gym, fitness First, is free for Amli residents, but would not recommends it: it's way too dirty and lacking equipment.



6. The thin walls, cheap carpet and narrow, the width of the kitchen cabinets, countertops in the kitchen are not helping our experience either.



The only good thing about Amli is the downtown location, but it has nothing to do with the Amli's management or the way they treat their residents. The poor management of this community and unreliable office staff are the two main reasons why I would not recommend anyone living there. We have friends living in the nearby Avalon, and, once our 6 months lease expires, we will likely to move there.
