Waldo Community Action Partners, also known as WCAP, is a private, nonprofit organization that utilizes and mobilizes public and private resources to assist in the alleviation of poverty. Founded in 1965, the organization offers public transportation to low-income and disabled individuals and senior citizens in Waldo County, Maine. It conducts child safety seat, outreach and referral and food assistance programs. Waldo Community Action Partners also offers the Head Start program, which emphasizes the educational, physical, social and emotional development of children.
