Quest Diagnostics - Closed

This was my first and last visit to this Quest site. I normally use a different lab service, but my physician was requesting lab work supposedly only offered at this time by Quest. The registrant staff person directed me to sign a "black box" which I do not do because I don't sign documents I haven't read. I politely requested a printed copy of the document they wanted me to sign. With an audible, resigned sigh the registrant printed it out for me. The document stated that I was affirming that a lab sample had been obtained and labeled with my identifying information in my presence, which of course was not true. I was still registering. I pointed this out to the registrant. She then yelled out across the entry and waiting room to a phlebotomist somewhere out of sight who I was and that the document needed to be completed after, not before by them. She was disclosing personal and private information publicly. The phlebotomist took me back to a room silently, took the blood sample, labeled it, snapped the tourniquet off my arm so roughly I was in sharp pain, put a dressing on the puncture site, pointed to the document on the counter, telling me to sign it and left the room. I began to bleed steadily from the puncture down my arm and onto the counter. I called for assistance twice and no one responded. I cleaned myself up with wet wipes I carry, and as I prepared to leave the phlebotomist returned to the room with a new patient who witnessed my distress. The phlebotomist abruptly turned around to lead the patient elsewhere and did not return. I left. The bleeding stopped. My unpleasant experience however is slow to fade. I will not ever return to this facility. I've never been treated with such disrespect by lab personnel.
