        Overall

        I'd considered my palate refined and sophisticated before patronizing Uchiko, but was not prepared for the explosion of flavor and deliciousness offered in every dish. Each small plate better than the last! Turns out, my palate was not the epicurean I claimed it to be. It'll be difficult to return to anything less now that I've experienced truly the upper echelon of great food. My impression of the food was matched only by the excellent service and attention to detail from the staff.
