Mesa Ranch

For food and atmosphere this is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Never had a bad meal.

My husband and I ate here for the first yesterday. For our appetizer, we order the fried cactus, which is served with two dipping sauces. The batter was seasoned well and they were yummy. Our dinner consisted of a house salad and the Mixed Grill Platter (Game) served with Cinnamon Sweet Potatoes. The food was EXCELLENT. They also served regular and jalapeno cornbread with the meal. According to their sign outside, they have live music every night. So they had a man who entertained us by singing and playing an acoustic guitar. He played well and we enjoyed listening to him throughout our dinner. It was totally worth the 24 miles we drove to get there! We will definitely be going back again soon.
