Hank Fleming Gunsmith

Took my gun in to have the safety on a remington 700 modified and to have the caliber engraved on the gun. They told me it would be 55 dollars to make the modification and 40 dollars to put the caliber on the gun. I was going to have them do it, but out of curiosity I called McBrides to see how much they could do it for. They told me that because there had been a recall on Remington 700 that Remington paid for this modification and I would only have to pay a 20 dollar fee. They then said, they would do the stamping of the caliber on the gun for free. If I had gone with Fleming, I would have had to pay almost 5 times as much! Based on this one time experience, and that they were not very friendly, I would not recommend going to this gunsmith.
