Fox Valley Park Dist

The basic framework of the nature trail and the parks is good. Unfortunately, access to the Virgil Gilman Nature trail from the Golfview Park is currently blocked by flooding, a situation that exists about half of the year. Promises that a drainage system to solve the problem have been a failure. The playground area of the Golview Park was recently cleared of a great overgrowth of weeds; however, that area is badly in need of some fill and mulch. The Park District seems to operate on a crisis to crisis basis, with funding improvements where publicity is greatest getting priority attention.
