Reunions Antiques

Do not consign ANYTHING to this place. I left 12 vintage washboards and an antique phone 18 months ago before I moved to Florida. Have never heard anything as they don't answer the phone. I went back to Asheville recently and was told some had been sold but there was no record. Couldn't give me a check because the check book was not there. Said a check would be sent asap but it's three months later and still nothing and they still don't answer the phone. A women named Carolyn runs the place and is a con artist. Stay away at all cost.

My wife & I have been shopping at Reunions for years (even before they moved to Asheville from Black Mountain)...They have great prices & really unique & beautiful things come from their shop...All of the best items in our home have come from them..People are always complementing us...We have purchased a number of 1940's era pieces (2 of which are rare birdseye maple)...The latest was a birdseye maple wardrobe which looked as if the Vanderbilts owned it...we weren't planning on getting it as we came for a heavy butcher-block kitchen table..when we saw it Carolyn even allowed us to put it on layaway and held it at the store for us...we made several cash payments to her all with the greatest of ease...Carolyn & her son are so helpful...at times giving detailed info about how to care for the antiques...not to mention help loading the items...what a nice store...what is not to like...we will be back for more items we have our eye on.

BEWARE OF THIS SHOP!! we purchased merchandise from the store owner Carolyn - she promised delivery of the items - items were not delivered - when we went back to the store with a truck to pick up the items they were gone - we have been trying for almost a year to get the merchandise or a refund but Carolyn will not respond to our requests - they also seem to have great trouble answering their phone. If you buy here take it with you. Check with the NC Better Business Bureau there are several complaints filed against this merchant - BEWARE!
