I started going to Sona Chaandi years ago for eyebrow threading during my undergrad days, and I try to visit for a cleanup whenever I'm in the neighborhood.



The payment process isn't confusing at all, and I haven't waited more than 10 minutes to be seated at a station. I've never had any issues with rude staff, bleeding or injury of any kind to my brow area. Though the staff may be quiet and not overly friendly, I've never felt that they were hostile in any way. But honestly, I believe it might just be a language barrier. It's tough to be chatty if English isn't your first language, so I'm not offended if I don't feel excessively pampered here. I come here for one reason only, and that's to have my brows cleaned up and artfully shaped-- not to be coddled.



I've probably had my eyebrows done by every staff member, and each of them take their time and are meticulous when working on them. I always leave feeling happy with my brand new brows. One thing I feel is missing is just some aloe vera to soothe the area.



I haven't bought any fabric or jewelry from the store, but I've browsed through it occasionally. They've even had celebrity customers such as Gwen Stefani and Freida Pinto. If I ever need beautiful and colorful fabric, I'll definitely visit them. If it's good enough for an A lister, then it's good enough for me!

Seriously, Thank God for Sona Chaandi!!! Honestly they helped me when I was in a pinch! The staff (family) were so helpful and personable. You treat people how you would like to be treated and they really reciprocated! Not only were they willing to work with my budget but they were open on a Monday! They have tons of saree's to choose from as well as other clothes priced from $50.00-$10k. Another great thing about this establishment is that they have a full service beauty salon. I would recommend this place to anyone!

not to buy any Indian outfit, which I'd love to but I don't think I'd look good on...



Back to the subject...

I always had a good experience with my eyebrows at Sona Chaandi, even more taking into consideration their lovely price $5.99

But seems like sometimes they are not as neat/careful as they should ... once i went with a not-so-nice former co-worker, she was rude with the lady that was taking care of her and their eyebrows ended up uneven..

she was furious!!! (I was trying not to laugh... that was quite hard)



Back to my own experience, I had to ask them to go over my eyebrows one more time, or maybe take some hairs that they missed... no biggie! and they do it promptly



If time allows, I always wander at the place admiring their beautiful dresses and accessories. Absolutely stunning!!!



The ladies doing the threading are nice and attentive.

The service is quick and the price is good.

Too bad is kinda far for me...

$5.99 threading for eyebrows. Took my niece and we were both happy with super quick service and no pain. I also had sideburns done for $4 extra. When I left I noticed some stray hairs in between my brows and that explains how unusually quick she was. Overall happy with this threading.



We walked in on a Sunday about 2-3pm and no wait.
